Why We Built myLive.pro: One Stream, Multiple Destinations
Why myLive.pro focuses on one job: receiving a single RTMP or SRT stream and reliably delivering it to multiple platforms at once.
Live streaming has become easier to start, but broadcasting the same program to several platforms is still more complicated than it should be.
A media team may have one reliable production feed, yet still need separate tools, credentials, dashboards, and monitoring workflows for YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, Instagram, and custom RTMP destinations. Every additional destination creates another place where something can fail.
That is the problem we built myLive.pro to solve.

The problem we kept seeing
The difficult part of multistreaming is rarely the camera or the encoder. The real friction begins after the stream leaves the production system.
Teams often have to manage:
- Multiple encoders or relay servers
- Separate platform dashboards
- Different stream keys and destination settings
- Manual start and stop procedures
- Unclear output status during a live session
- Extra infrastructure that must be maintained under pressure

A focused product decision
We decided that the first version of myLive.pro should do one job exceptionally well:
Receive one live stream and distribute it to multiple destinations.
The workflow is intentionally simple:
- Add the destinations you use.
- Send one RTMP or SRT stream to myLive.pro.
- Select the outputs for the session.
- Start the broadcast.
- Monitor and control every destination from one dashboard.
There is no need to rebuild the production workflow around a complicated browser studio. Your existing encoder, hardware switcher, playout system, or broadcast software remains the source of the stream.

RTMP or SRT as the input
Different production environments have different priorities, so myLive.pro supports both RTMP and SRT input workflows.
RTMP
RTMP remains widely supported by streaming software, hardware encoders, and broadcast platforms. It is familiar, easy to configure, and practical for many standard workflows.
SRT
SRT is useful when the contribution path needs stronger resilience against unstable networks, packet loss, or long-distance transmission.
The important point is that the input protocol should fit the production environment. The distribution workflow after ingest should remain consistent.
Control each destination independently
A multistreaming session is not always all-or-nothing.
A team may need to start one destination later, stop an output without ending the main stream, or temporarily disable a platform while keeping the other destinations live.
That is why destination control is a core part of the product, not an afterthought.
Inside the myLive.pro Studio, each output can be managed as part of the active session. The operator can see which destinations are selected, which ones are active, and where attention is required.
This matters during real broadcasts, because the operator should not have to switch between several platform dashboards while also managing the program.
What the MVP is designed to do
The first release is deliberately narrow.
It focuses on:
- Receiving a single RTMP or SRT input
- Restreaming to multiple destinations
- Managing destination configuration
- Starting and stopping outputs
- Monitoring the current session
- Keeping the workflow clear and predictable
It is not trying to replace a complete production studio, video editor, graphics engine, or broadcast automation system.
That boundary is intentional.
A smaller product surface lets us concentrate on the part that must be dependable: moving a live stream from one source to every selected destination with as little operational friction as possible.
Reliability before feature count
Live streaming software is different from ordinary business software. A small interface bug is inconvenient; a stream interruption is immediately visible to the audience.
For that reason, our priorities are straightforward:
- Stable ingest
- Predictable output behavior
- Clear session state
- Fast operator control
- Useful failure visibility
New features matter, but they should not make the core workflow harder to understand or less reliable.
We would rather make one critical workflow boring and dependable than ship a long list of features that operators cannot trust during a live event.
